Robert Livingston | Director

As Director of HI~Arts, Robert works with the voluntary Board of Directors to develop and agree strategies for the activities and development of HI~Arts, and then works with the staff team to implement those strategies. He also leads the Senior Management Team in developing new projects and areas of work, and is the main contact point for HI~Arts with funders and contracting bodies such as Creative Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise and with partner organizations such as Booth Scotland, Regional Screen Scotland, and the Highlands and Islands Theatre Network. Karen Ray | Business Manager

Karen is responsible for human resources and for all things financial. Finance includes developing budgets, monitoring income and spending, and preparing reports for funders. John Saich | Projects Development Manager

John works in a number of artform sectors, liaising with cultural agencies and development organisations throughout the Highlands and Islands on behalf of HI~Arts. With many years experience as a professional musician, John maintains an industry role in contemporary and traditional music and is a member of the HI~Arts Senior Management Team. Sian Jamieson | Audience Development Manager

Sian puts the Audience at the heart of her work and the work that she carries out with arts and cultural organizations, groups and individuals across the Highlands and Islands. Through tailored Audience Development Consultations, Marketing Health Checks, tip sheets, one-to-one support and project development, Sian is passionate about working with arts organizations and individuals to make the most of the opportunities that audience development can offer. Laura McHattie  | Development and Marketing Assistant

Laura has started a graduate placement with HI-Arts working with different members of the team to help develop and implement marketing strategies. Laura will also assist with business development activities throughout the organisation and planned projects to expand the services offered by HI-Arts.

Fiona Fisher | Administrator (Web and Team Support)

Fiona’s responsibilities includes oversight of the HI~Arts website, support for Northings website and responsibility for company IT. She also provides financial and administrative support for the Inverness team and remote project workers.  Contact Fiona at fiona@hi-arts.co.uk


Laura Martin | Administrator (Funding and Finance)

Laura is responsible for the management of the Professional Development Award schemes. She maintains financial records, processes daily transactions and provides  support to the Business Manager,  the Inverness team and remote project workers.  Contact Laura at laura@hi-arts.co.uk


Avril Souter | Administrator (Crafts and Visual Arts)

Avril provides support within Craft Development, helping Pamela Conacher with the organisation of crafts events and administering the craft pages of the website.  She also assists the ATLAS Team in implementing the contemporary visual arts programme in Skye and Lochalsh. Elizabeth Sinclair | Administrator

Elizabeth works part-time as an Administrator to the Inverness team.  Her role includes updating the Northings and HI~Arts website and reception cover. Elizabeth also works part-time for Booth Scotland.  Contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@hi-arts.co.uk

Pamela Conacher | Craft Development Coordinator
